Jorian Meeuse's progression thread (Kinch WR230 ER70 NR4)

Belgian nats tomorrow. I want to win 3BLD, but I haven't practiced (in contradiction to my last post here), so I try to have no expectations. Again, NR mean should be easy, but messing up is way easier.
Idrc about the other events there, maybe clock a bit because it will give me a better kinch rank as I don't have official clock results yet, but I don't know how fast I am at clock, so I don't know what to expect. I won't use 7simul in comp, because I don't think my memo is consistently sub 15.
Other events: FMC (1 attempt), 5x5 (two rounds), 6x6, 7x7, OH, sq1, mega.

Oh, and on an unrelated note, for some reason I bought a weilong maglev pyra and an rs maglev skewb, and now I really want a 3x3 that feels like the weilong pyraminx but is a little more stable. If anyone knows such a cube, please tell me and I might sacrifice more money in the name of speed.

Good luck on 3BLD! I hope you can break the NR

No, sadly, because I dont really know how to pay using stripe and my parents dont know either.
iirc you could pay via the comp page on the WCA website, at the register tab
We also forgot that ''race'' at dutch autumn (where we were gonna race with you doing 3bld and me doing 3x3)
Oh, true! You'll be at dutch nats, right? We can do it there

Obviously, I didn't even beat my PR single.

Nice: FMC (34 single), OH (12.xy single), clock (7 single, didn't know I could do that), 6x6 (2 sub 3s. Still, all my 6x6 sub 3s are official), 5x5 (overall PB of 1:17)

Not nice but idc: 7x7 (my first official PLL skip though), sq1 (5/5 parity), mega (turns out I forgot a lot of 4LLL)

Not nice and I care: 3BLD. Scrambles were pretty garbage but I should've done way better still. My best single was a 23, and I had mistraced, which I somehow realised during exec. just why is the buffer always twisted in 2/3 scrambles in my official rounds : (((

Fun facts:
-Dutch clock NR single before this comp was 4.30. Now, there are 3 people with a faster single, the NR being 3.70. I DNFed this scramble.
- The person who became Belgian national champion became 7th in 3x3 finals.
- They read the 27.xy on my 2nd 3BLD solve as 21.xy. I had to tell them I was 6 seconds slower than they had thought.

I was doing a few pyra solves (I have set myself the goal to get #1 Dutch kinch rank, so obligatory pyra and skewb practice), and got this hilarious sub-PR single average of 12. Try the scrambles, they are absolute memes.

Quick update, because why not?

Next week I'm going to Germany to improve mainly my skewb, pyra and OH results, hopefully. I won't be practicing, because I have an exam week next week as well.

In Dutch nats this month, my goals are simple. Win 3BLD, podium in 2x2. I don't think I will achieve either, but whatever.

Then about the comp in december, they changed the whole schedule of that. Good decisions: reducing the number of clock rounds and moving 3 2x2 rounds to saturday. Bad decision: keeping 5BLD on sunday.
