I want to fully memorize the 2 look oll and 2 look pll. I have a school competiton next, not this, wedensday and today is tuesday! Any tips to help me memorize 4lll by April 7, today is March 31! And do you guys have other tips to make me faster by April 7. My average is like 1min to 1min and 20 secs. The fastest kid in my school can do it in like 40 secs. Help!!!

Just keep doinog what you normally do and get faster at that. Even if you memorise 4 look LL you will still be slow on recognisation. Just stick with what you know and improve on that. Thats my 'playing safe' advice. You could go ahead and learn 2 algs per day but thats risky.

If you bothered to start learning them, you would be done by now.
Hmm...
I want to race some one.
Could someone post a list of ~10 useful, fingertrick friend algs and I will race him to learn them all? I'll aim for sub-1 hour.
After learning, you must be able to execute them at least 3tps.

(Must be algs that neither one of us already know.)
EJF2L, over 2/3s of COLL, over 1/2 of OLL, all PLL, 1/2 of VHF2L are out.
I suppose 10 random algs from the rest of MGLS are fair game other than the 3+ algs that you know for F2L anyway. Knowing how to recognise (the hardest part) is also required.

Edit:
How about any algs you want to learn, but at least 80 moves. Then calculate efficiency of moves/minute learned.

How long?

1. R' U R2 U' R' F2 R2 U' R'
2. R2 U' R2 F R U' F2 R
3. U2 F2 R U' R' U' R2 U2
4. r U' r' U' R' U' l' U2 l
5. U2 F R U' R' U2 F2

There's the first five. I'll add some more later. By the way, these don't do anything useful at all, I just tried to come up with fairly finger trick friendly algs.

many people seem to believe that you "shouldn't rush it." however, i say go for it. maybe i just have a phenomenal memory, but i was able to memorize 4LLL in one weekend. my recognition speed was competition-ready two or three days after memorizing all algorithms.
just don't let the algorithms intimidate you. if you need mnemonics, i recommend that you check out badmephisto's page. if he doesn't have any that work for you, feel free to ask me.

Well, I did it anyway without anyone to compete with me. :(
Finished full MGLS in about 3 hours.

Edit:
I had to relearn about 20 algs, and learn around 70 algs.
So 70/180 ~= 0.4 algs per minute.

wow fanwuq, you're really good at memorizing algs.
Do you know how long it has taken me to memorize all of these OLLs, and I'm still just barely over half done?

I suck at BLD memo. It's just lots of RU moves and many are mirrors.
Not so fast at it yet. Takes about 2s to recognize each case and 3 seconds to perform.
