[Member Intro] Solving the 4x4 Rubik cube

I haven’t been cubing for a few days, but I keep on running into this impossible case where I’m solving the all white corners and when the white cube face is on the bottom the sides sides are supposed to be opposite each other instead of matching the sides the of cube like this: see picture

You put the centers in the wrong spot and did not follow the color scheme. You will need to swap the white and yellow.

I’ll remember that. I know that when yellow is up on top and red is facing me green is on the right! So I screwed up somehow.
Ok, almost there again. I’m getting faster. So am I correct in thinking I have to put the correct corner pieces in the back of the cube ( (the two red corners with the side matching on both sides) and then perform this algorithm: R U R' U' Rw2 R2 U2 Rw2 R2 Uw2 Rw2 R2 Uw2 U' R U' R'

I gotta stick with what worked before :R U R' U' Rw2 R2 U2 Rw2 R2 Uw2 Rw2 R2 Uw2 U' R U' R'. I’m I correct in thinking the two corners with the red facing me with yellow on top and then perform the above algorithm?

Looking at the photo in #147, you show the red face with a green edge in front. Assuming that the red edge on the green face and there are no other unsolved edges, hold the red face in front and perform that alg you shared.
No, there are 3 unsolved edge pairs: green, orange, red. Red edge pair is on orange face and orange edge pair is on green face. Blue edge pair is correct.

There is a website called Jperm.net. So where do I find what Ua perm is?
The green edge pair should be turned 90 Degrees counterclockwise. The orange edge pair should be turned 90 degree’s counterclockwise, but the red edge pair should be on the opposite side of the cube.
