What was your worst non-DNF result that you can remember? I'll start:
Bit of a funny story for this one. On April 1 2023, I was doing some casual solves on my old Dayan Zhanchi, when it popped in the middle of a solve. Like always, I found, picked up, and put every piece back...except one. I looked everywhere in my room for several minutes, thinking that the piece had just vanished, when I finally found it. It had fallen onto my desk's keyboard drawer, which is painted black. Black piece, black desk, it blended in. I finished the solve, and stopped the timer. The time?

6:44.966.

Keep in mind, this was in 2023 (the current year at the time of writing). I got an official sub-12 average just a week later (with a better cube of course). I wasn't a beginner, just stupid.

I think I already love this thread, currently in my 15,000 solve cs session, started March 2020, my worst time to date is 37.57. No funny story sadly, just me being bad.

My worst times in recent history for 2x2 are two Super 20s I got on the same day. One of them, I did the wrong alg, so I had to do a Y perm, I messed up the Y perm, so I either had to do it again, or I had to do a hard CLL case I can't remember. I messed up again but finally got an easy case so I did the alg and it finally solved with a time of above 20. 💀

I don't know the story about the other super-20 though.

Worst 3x3 solve ever is a 2:10.xx
Worst 5x5 is slower than my worse 6x6 solve.

That was in august lol. The rest of the average was just because I was half asleep but the 14 was because I did Ortega. I use Layer, OLL, PLL. I had to redo the whole solve which ended up having a y-perm. The video of it is hilarious.

I’ll tell the story of the worst official 3x3 solve I’ve ever done: a 1:03.11 (at the time I averaged 11.) So I was on pace for a great solve (PR potential!) when in the last few moves of the J-Perm, an edge piece flew out of my Gan 11 M Pro. Somehow after the pop, two of the corners had swapped places (and more pieces fell out of the cube), which I didn’t notice until after I retrieved the piece (which had bounced quite a bit away from the table) meaning I had to take the edge and corners out, and then reassemble the cube, and then, to make matters even worse, it was a +2! Also, the solve before this, I didn’t start the timer (meaning a DNF) so this was a counting solve in my first time in a 3x3 finals…
I have it all on video here:

very first ever solve on a 7×7
(first ever on an actual cube bigger than a 5×5)
= 28m55s... 😲😜🤕
and that was with help from a JR Cuber video showing how to do a commutator to solve last two centers
ftw

I do my best to search this.

I really only have in really bad solve, and that was at a comp. It was in SQ-1, and the cutoff was 45 seconds. I averaged right around 25-30 then, so I thought I could make it, but instead got a 1:36.53 on my first solve and a 1:27:07 on my second. I was quite disappointed.

At home, I have a 7x7 solve where I popped and lost an edge, and for a week I was sad, but then I ordered an edgepiece replacement from SCS, and got it along with the rest of my order about five days later. I finished the solve, with a time of 14 days, 3 hours, approximately.

In a competition, I had a 4x4 round that was cutoff at 2 minutes. My first solve was a 2:39, and I was so mad that my next time was one double parity away from sub-2: 2:06 was my final time. I'm so mad

I average around 16 for 3x3 and got a 30 second solve. I accidentally did white cross but with yellow center. I thought it was funny so I finished f2l and then moved it to the white center and then took out and reinserted all my f2l pairs.
