F2L seems complicated with the amount of algorithms, and my version of F2L takes me like 25 seconds to complete! Anyone have an alternative way or does anyone know an alternative way to solve F2L?

there’s Petrus but that is insanely slow

Learn intuitive F2L; no algs required. Use the tutorials @Cubinginatree provided, particularly the intro tutorial.

If you’re interested in trying alternatives to CFOP, I recommend Roux, as it’s the best one imo. If you want to look further there are also methods such as ZZ, Petrus, and countless others.

Here’s a beginner Roux tutorial:

And if you’re interested in switching to Roux check out Kian Mansour’s resources, as he actually uses it and is incredibly fast with the method.

I have tried both of those before and I was able to learn from 1 of them but the advanced one has like 70 algorithms (give or take some) and I gave up. How do people learn and memorize over 100 algorithms in full CFOP?

solve the F2l intuitivley, you'll eventually get so used to em they feel like they are alged,
thats whats happened to me

Did you watch them? In the advanced video Dylan (Jperm) clearly says " Only check the alg sheet if you are stuck on a case that you want a better alg for" The key point being DON'T LEARN ALGS! If you want to go the "I'm going to learn the algs" way the algs are very easy to learn and can be perfected in a couple minutes. If you don't understand the videos here is a simplified version of the intuitive one:
Alg sheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nzAXYUWZJ6H2wIOXaHdWXep3W57tArbR/view
Bring 2 corner edge pieces ( that can be paired ) into the top layer

Pair them up.

Insert.

The advanced one drops the first step.

IMPORTANT INFO:
Learn intuitive first.

We all struggle at first and personally I had to watch the intuitive video almost a dozen times at 0.75 speed to finally understand.

Don't give up and I hope you can figure it out soon. :)

F2L is the least complicated way of doing 2 layers I feel.

Just give the F2L training a bit more time and things will ease out yo.

As the others said. Start with intuitive F2L.
Do slow solves and find your own ways do solve a pair or try to learn from youtube videos.

You can try to learn some algs for cases where you dont find a good solution, but I would definitly start with intuitive F2L

There are 3 Levels of F2L
3 Step: You bring pieces out, set them up and insert them
2 Step: You bring pieces out, already in the right setup position, then you insert then
1 Step: Full Muscle Memory (Learn the alg or just know it from a lot of practice)

In the Cubing Megasurvey there is a nice page about solving times and these Levels

It's so slow that it used to be the main competitor of CFOP.
Have you tried Petrus? EO is slow, 223 and 2L are quite fast.
I just mean it isn’t as good as CFOP and doesn’t get as fast as CFOP in unless you practice a ton

It is worth looking at this part of aolving the cube from a broader perspective as previously recommended with other block-building techniques such as Petrus and Roux

You can learn a lot about efficient from watching these two top Rouxers' example/walh~thru solves:
Kian Mansour (former OH WR holder)
and Kavin Tangtartharakul

worth repeating, learning good block-building is the same as learning algorithms, the more and better you practice and get the moves into muscle memory, the more you build your lookahead and recognitin and let your intuition take over instead of pausing and spending time to Thimk About It 😎
