Does anyone else use this alg for Anti-Sune? I haven’t really seen anyone else use it, but I find it much faster than the regular Anti-sune alg with L moves. Here’s the algorithm I use: R U2 R’ U’ R U’ R’. I do the U2 with my left hand, so there are no regrips. I’ve times this one vs the “standard” one, and the one I shared beat out the traditional one by 0.3 - 0.5 seconds.

Woah, that’s actually a pretty solid algorithm! I use the standard alg (R U R' U R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U2 R U' R2 U' R U' R' U2 R) but I may actually switch to this. The lefty U2 is a bit tricky though, so I don’t see it becoming mainstream.
R U R' U R U2 R' U2 R U R' U R U2 R' U2 is shorter

My left double flicks are basically non-existent. So I do the U2 with single flicks, but it’s still quite fast.

This has been suggested by a few new forumers before as an alternative. Pretty much all good cubers agree that it’s not worth it though; there’s a lot more to the quality of an alg than movecount. This alg in particular overworks the fingers and also requires an ungodly amount of regrips. The standard alg is far quicker and easier when executed correctly. I believe MeMyselfAndPi has a great video about it if you want to check that out

Well, you can technically do it with just 1 regrip, but I don’t see anyone ever using this alg.

here is execution.
I don't think it's fast.

This is quite similar to what I was doing when trying this alg, which is why I find it hard to believe it will top the current algs. Hopefully the execution video from OP will enlighten us on the situation

Is this thread satire?

Sir, I am a sub-15 solver and one of the most active forumers in this site’s history. I can assure you that this discussion is not only entirely genuine, but also quite competent and high level.

@SpeakCuba I have always used the one you mention:
➡️ R U2 R’ U’ R U’ R’ ⬅️
as its only 7 moves, I cant imagine a faster one or why anyone would use algs that are so much longer ¯\(°_o)/¯
it is literally just the standard Sune in reverse, used with the "mouth" of the "fish" at back right corner

edit: quick screen grab for Jperm's site, hope he doesnt mind (or at least not enough to sue me in England)

Hmmm

I definitely see potential with this alg, but I’m not sure I understand what you mean. Can you post a video of your execution and setup?
Hopefully this works, but the site zoomed into the video quite a bit. First time is just how I execute it, and the 2nd time it’s done faster. (Ignore the fact that I used the most random background).

I agree, it’s just way shorter, and the fastest alg I can find. I’ve learnt it when I was learning Ortega.
