Custom Cubes and Puzzles

this isn't really a mod but I took a qiyi sail w and took it apart and could only put the F2L back together back then. I just told everyone that I modded it into a 1x1x2 because I didn't want to say, " well I couln't put it back together." Closest thing to a mod in my collection.

Hey, update on the MaglEVO. So still haven't heard an opinion, but they have tested the cube and are ready to ship the prototype back. The first 2 units should be finished by the end of the month and be out to SCS. Do any of you guys know how to make a return label through USPS?
Go to this website and they should help you get one set up.

Also, it isn't really a mod, but I'm working on a project where I bring back a really old GAN that has taken ages of abuse and neglect back to life. My friend had had it for about 6 years and NOT ONCE had he lubed or cleaned it. It is possibly the grossest cubing thing ever. The screws holding the pieces together are rusted out, giving the inside lots of gross brown grime, and it is somehow both bone dry and sticky at the same time. I will be magnetizing, cleaning and restoring it. Not a mod but still a big project.

Oh fun. Keep us updated! Lol I am practicing 2x2 and found that I have dropped my average by like 3 seconds overnight...

These are the gross pieces that I need to clean off and restore and also magnetize with my restoration (it isnt magnetic, the pieces are just so gross that they stick together without magnets)
I was unable to open the pieces, as the screws were somehow so unbelievably rusty that they all stripped. Still cleaning it tho.

oof that sucks. if you want to take this restoration to the next level you could have someone help you break the old screws and get them out and then replace them with new ones. but that's only if you want to go overboard.
