Turned off Email notifications, still get Emails

I turned off all the email notifications settings in preferences but I still get some emails. How do I stop them?

This happens on other forums as well, and it’s annoying. I’m not sure why the emails keep coming.

I read that you should unwatch all the threads

XF 1.5 - Forum emails notifications even after opting out.

I've checked throughout the ACP and cannot seem to locate a setting that would be causing this. Any ideas?

but I don't want to do that. wouldn't that mean that I won't receive notifications inside the forum as well?
