I once decided to learn algorithms in literally the worst way possible. I just kept on using the pamphlet to solve it step by step instead of taking the time to learn algorithms one at a time. It took me a total of three months learning using my **** ass method but most likely would have only taken me a week if I had learned a better way. Also, another mistake I made was buying DNM-37. No other lubes. Only DNM-37. I had no idea it was water based and I eventually added too much and rusted out the springs of one of my cubes. It was only a $4 Meilong so I don't feel too bad.

Mine's opposite one of your choices, so I didn't vote. I think my biggest mistake was selling my V-Cubes. I had original V3 - V7 in my collection many years ago. Looking back, I truly wish that I had kept those 5 impressive puzzles in my collection.

Same, except for F2L, OLL, and PLL. Also, I bought silk instead of DNM. And rusted out QIzheng 5x5 when I tried to solve it underwater once.

Really sorry about that. A mistake to one person may not be a mistake to you, and I totally understand that.
Hey, I searched the web, and there are a number of v cubes for sale out there. If you dig deep enough, you can find some sellers who might not value their v cubes at a lot. "One persons junk is another person's treasure."

Hi there everyone, I understand that some of us are well seasoned cubers and others are relatively new to the hobby, but we all started somewhere. Above are some common and uncommon mistakes that cubers might make. No limit on how many you can vote for.
1. My first mistake was spending too much time learning 2x2 before 3x3.
2. Since I had not started 3x3 and had no knowledge on learning algorithms, my 2x2 ortega alg fingertricks were horrible. After getting a bit faster at 3x3 I had to go back and change all of my fingertricks. My fingertricks were bad because instead of watching a video, I just read the algs off of a sheet without knowing what to do with my fingers. After thinking about it, I had a lot of regrips.
3. This one is related to mistake number 2, but it is so hilarious it deserves its own topic. For the adjacent D PBL l alg, instead of using my pointer and middle fingers, I used my middle and ring fingers to flick the back layer. It made the alg very slow.
