i just noticed that @AJT17 and jperm are left handed for O.H. solves and i want to see which hand has the majority.
I think, at least from my experience; most people use left because it allows you to do <RU> algs very easily, and most algs people have learned will be righty (consider all the standard PLLs for example, it might be annoying to relearn righty algs to lefty just for OH).

i'm not saying people shouldn't i'm just saying i dont understand it myself
you understand that some people use left hand to write and others use right hand?
it's the same case, you use the hand that is more natural for you

in OH if a person is right handed probably he will use the left hand to solve the cube because it's the hand he holds the cube 2H
in some cases people use the same hand he writes as @SpeedCubeLegend17 said

but you'll use what you feel that is more confortable for you

I can only write with my left hand but i do literally everything else with my right, including OH
I am right handed but my father is left handed, so I grew up using the mouse with my left hand because it was the side of the keyboard he would let the mouse, and it's pretty awkward to use it with my right hand
I can use the mouse with both hands but it just feels so weird to use it with my right hand

I was thinking, if you write with your right hand, it doesn't mean you will use your right hand for everything

there are people that write with one hand but has a dominant foot for soccer for example (left or right)

also you can have a dominant stance for skateboarding. I am "regular", I put my left foot in front and ride facing right
other people ride "goofy", facing left, right foot on front ... if you want to know your stance, experiment removing your shoes and sliding on the floor with your socks. you will tend to put a certain foot front, if it's the left you are regular, if it's the right you are goofy :3
but that is not related to your dominant hand to write or even dominant foot to kick, etc

interesting, right?
