[WR] 4.75 3x3 Average by Yiheng Wang - Misscramble

This is probably in the top five craziest cubing moments ever
I think number one has to be when Feliks finally beat Mats Valk's long-standing single but it turned out that he twisted a corner on the very last turn. I'll never forget Feliks' disappointed, "It's not even solved."

That was a bad day for MoYu.

Also, a think a single corner twist should probably be a +1 instead of a DNF.

Then when Max beat the record they didn't count it because it was miss scrambled BY ONE MOVE! They discovered it during the competition but they didn't for Felik's record.
Feliks’ OH WR gets brought up a lot in discussions about misscrambles, but in my mind it’s always a stronger argument towards the idea that that solve should have been disqualified than towards counting other misscrambles. I suspect, in fact, that that incident is a large part of the reason why it’s become practice to check recordings for misscrambles the day of.

Either way, there should be more effort put into preventative measures. I suspect regulation 4g is largely ignored for the sake of efficiency.

do you realize that if tymon hadn't +2'd that 3.75, yiheng's average wouldn't even be wr if it had counted
If all of the misscrambles and +2's from the beginning of 2022 to now had counted, the 3x3 rankings would look like this:

1: Tymon, 4.74 (March 2022)
2. Yiheng, 4.75 (February 2023)
3: Tymon, 4.86 (July 2022)
3: Max, 4.86 (September 2022)
5: Yiheng, 4.91 (February 2023)
6: Matty, 4.94 (May 2022)
