I literally just tied my PB single, and it had a PLL skip as well. I've gotten 10.44 seconds twice.

Congrats! I don't think you got lucky with a PLL skip, you just used ZBLL.I've finally done it. After 10 months of cubing, I present to you my first sub-10 3x3 single.
9.73 seconds.

I was so surprised. I literally jumped up and celebrated lol. I was especially surprised because it was a normal cross and no free F2L pairs, but my lookahead and turning was just really great and I got lucky with the PLL skip at the end. Hopefully I reconstructed correctly, but one thing I notice is that I need to reduce cube rotations.

Thanks! And that's an interesting way to look at it lolCongrats! I don't think you got lucky with a PLL skip, you just used ZBLL.
Thanks! I think I found a decent setup, I put the blue thing to 4 and I just kept tightening and loosening it until it felt okay. I'm getting pretty good times, so I think I'll just stop messing with it. My violent and fast turning style might be part of the problem, so I need to change that more than I need to change the cube.Nice! Also, how is your RS3M going?
