[WR] Max Park - 6.20 OH single

Max Park became a big player in OH with 10.59 average in 2016. Most notable achievement was first ever sub-10 average with 9.99s and first ever person to beat legendary 6.88 single from 2015. As of today, he broke the WR in one-handed nine times, exactly the same amount as Feliks Zemdegs, which leads me to conclusion that

He is the greatest off all time in the event

the_chad said Max is the greatest "of all time", but I'm sure Fahmi or other Roux solvers will soon catch up. As impressive as this single solve is, Fahmi has an ao12 near this speed.
you mean an ao12...AT HOME? look at Max Park's at home results if you wanna compare those

Max has 9 world records, 2 World Champion and 3 National Champion titles. Comparing this kind of achievements to ao12 at home is really disrespectful. Just ignore this guy 🤨

Fahmi has the WB for oh average of 5,12,50,100. Yes max may be decorated in how many wr he has broken in the event, but remember in march he lost his average to Patrick. Fahmi on his first comp back got an Asian record average, and with a counting mid 9 he can still beat that and get wr as he uses a method that thrives off of one handed solving, but max uses a method that thrives off of 3x3 and 3x3 stage on big cubes. And Fahmi’s one handed finger tricks are incredibly smooth, and while max’s table abuse disrupts his solves as he tries to rotate Patrick also uses a method that requires rotations and more moves, so it is inevitable that he will lose it, and when fahmi goes to a comp and messes up by getting a 10,11 average, he is just delaying the inevitable

To quote Jayden McNeill,

"Official solves are the only solves that matter"

besides max official best ao12 tied Fahmi official best ao5 (8.98)

And apparently, Kian was said to be averaging faster than official wr ao5 a few years ago, but he didn't get anything better than the 9.54 wr ao5.
There is no such thing as inevitable, you can be fast at home but be terrible at comp performance, because official solves are about competition performance, which is more than just what you average at home.

Ayo guys, I love the fact that a fast Rouxer like Fahmi exists and I have no doubt that they are the fastest OHer in the world at the moment. But you can't compare official results to at-home times fairly. They are completely different feats so denying Fahmi, Max, or Patrick a "GOAT" status is completely unfair.

The current state of things is that Max and Patrick hold both OH WRs and they are absolute beasts at OH, at this point in time I'd say either of them are arguably the Greatest of All Time.
However this does not take away from Fahmi's abilities.

Is Fahmi capable of absolutely destroying both WRs? 100% yes, there's no doubt about it. This would also put them in the running for Greatest of All Time wouldn't it? Even Patrick has said, and I'm paraphrasing here, that it's basically just a matter of time before Fahmi takes the WRs. But Fahmi needs to get used to competing. Patrick and Max have the art of competing down to a science which can't be said for Fahmi yet. This doesn't take away from their skills, if anything it makes it all the more impressive that they have worked on competing and actually improving at OH to get to this point.

Point is that an arbitrary term like "GOAT" isn't something to just be tossed around. There's a lot of nuance to that sort of term and all you guys do with these sort of posts is give people unrealistic expectations, downplay other fantastic cubers achievements, and even stress the cubers being discussed.
For example over Discord Fahmi has mentioned that whenever they go to a comp they're basically bombarded with people who expect them to get WR at the single OH round comp... Online posts are arguably just as bad at stressing someone out.

Supporting someone with potential is great, but there is a difference between support and making unrealistic expectations

That wouldn't be happening if he didn't brag about his unofficial times on every single occasion. Now he needs to deal with the double pressure. It was exactly the same with Lau and Mansour. Be smarter and learn from mistakes of other people.

when and where exactly has Fahmi bragged about their times? There's no doubt that they've posted them but how is that different from literally every other cuber ever? Posting your progress is good, healthy even. How many world record holders in any event haven't posted progress? You think Feliks didn't post his progress on YouTube and this very forum? I don't seem to remember that being disadvantageous to his WRs...

However I do understand the point you're trying to make, maybe working on wording and backing up your statements with some facts would help making you and others have a more pleasurable experience on these forums.
Have a great day! :D

Discord on multiple occasions. I am not talking about sharing progress online. I was talking about bragging and openly saying that he is world best, laughing at competitors who are officially better and faster than him.
A claim like this needs evidence. You made the claim now show the screenshots. Maybe I and others have somehow looked over this.
