Hello,

I'm a new member -- There's absolutely no need to remember my name. I have a really mediocre average and I'm never going to be anything special in the world of cubing. I'm from the UK and I work as a guitar teacher for a small local music school, I'm 19 and I spend most of my free time playing Call of Duty 4 on XBL, composing music/playing in bands and solving rubik's cubes..

Oh, don't say that, or it will be a self fullfilling prohecy!

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on sub-60 seconds. I really do hope that you be more optimistic; who knows, maybe you'll set a world record...

You know, I use intuative f2l + 2-look OLL and 2-look pll, and I average around 25 seconds. Just get used to F2L, and the speed of your OLL's and PLL's and you could get to where I am in a few months (depending on how much you practice).

Welcome to the forums!

jcuber, really? I do the same and only get like 47 at best. Maybe its because I only use 1 PLL.

Oh wait, 3, but I use the one that rotates the corners (except the ULF corner) clockwise, and the // edges and the + edges. But for rotating edges CW (The triangle of edges facing F) I use the orientation one that goes RUR'URU2R' then y' then R'U'RU'R'U2R. Then for CCW (Triangle facing B) I use R'U'RU'R'U2R then y then RUR'URU2R'. Its long but it works.

Hiya everyone - Thanks for all the glass half full stuff, I'll keep practicing and see where I end up eh?. I'm from Barnsley in South Yorkshire. Cookingfat -- it's a shame you're on PS3, or should I say a shame I'm on XBL haha. EDIT: wow I see you're from Sheffield!

Yeah, it's more of a shame you're on XBL, lol. I'm in Sheffield, which is really just down the road, you should arrange to come to the next cube meet, it's not far for you.

You have cube meets? Sounds good haha! Sheffield is like 15 mins down the M1..

well, we've had one cubemeet (that cookingfat didn't come to because we're stupid and we organised it with joey for the next day at 10pm the night before:rolleyes:), but more are on the books after A2 exam period... :) (that is, May-June)

Yep, I've been playing for about 9 years now, and the other cubers in Sheffield can all play (Jude's very good too). We could probably get other UK Cubers from South Yorkshire/Midlands to come as well (I know of/can remember right now of Simon, Michael, Joey, and 'Leeho'). :)

Hello Calvin Rhodes, you seem to have a greek-ish last name....:)

Im a guitarist as well and yes, I play way better guitar than I cube too! If only I could join your cube/guitar meetings, but I live a bit far...

What music do you play the most? Im a blues player..
