Most Underrated SpeedCube? | RS3M 2021 Review

The RS3M is far from underrated. It is the most successful 3x3 ever with beginners up to sub-7 solvers maining it. No cube has ever gotten such positive attention before, nothing underrated about it. The "2021" version has the exact same design and structure with the only difference being that the "2021" has maglev. That's the only thing.

I disagree with Moyu calling it "2021" when they didn't even change the design. They just put some maglev in there gave it a new name and called it a day. They should have simply called it "RS3M 2020 (maglev)". C'mon Moyu, you can't even give us those purple internals. Nearly every single time a company releases a new version of something there is a notable difference. Look at the Valk line, the Weilongs, the GAN 11 (okay I said nearly every time. GAN is special), the Thunderclap, Tornado, MGC 3x3's, you get the gist. They all deserved their own names, but I don't find that true for the RS3M. It's the 2020 (maglev) not a 2021.

I think that the RS3M2020/1 is the most overrated cube. It's an excellent cube with great customisability at it's price point. But it does not compare to any of the flagship cubes out there, bottom line. To say that it does as many are, I think is just ludicrous. The RS3M is the best budget cube by far even smashing some mid-tier cubes, but that's as far as it goes.

I would disagree. In the current market, where performance is a given for most releases, what the "best" cubes are comes down to feeling. The RS3 M performs just as well if not better for some people than expensive flagship cubes. For some, it is the best option for their personal turning style and preferences.

For example, Asher
and Patrick

I agree that it does come down to feeling. For me the RS3M still has a cheap feel with ok performance. Definitely worth the price, 100%. But I can afford flagship cubes.... for now ... and the performance and feeling are just so much better than the RS3M.

Understandable. Like I said, that's what it is about in the current market.
