After a year or so of 10 yr old Tyson asking me to solve his Rubik's original, I gave in and bought my own from a department store and went to rubiks.com to learn how to solve. There I saw the Rubik's connected and went to speedcube.com.au to get one. Then I wanted to know how a normal speedcube felt. That was 5 months ago, I now own a Rubik's original, Rubik's connected, Rs3m2020, Rs3m2021, Qiyi warrior S, Valk Elite, WRM2021 maglev(purple), Gan 11m pro, Gan 12 maglev, Gan i carry v2, Gan 251 leap and a Gan 330. I mained the Rs3m 2021 maglev until I bought the 11m pro. I now use CFOP method and average 32 secs atm with a @home PB of 23.37 using csTimer+. Tyson has just learnt to solve(started on CFOP) 2 weeks ago and has a PB of 41 seconds. I can't see us stopping cubing in the near future, Cubing is too much fun. Hopefully will do Adelaide comp in winter, missed out on summer when Zemdegs registered, all the positions filled in days. I look forward to being active in the cubing community, see you round.

I would suggest to register for a comp as soon as it opens, or it might get filled up to quickly, I tried to sign up for a comp and I was only like five minutes after registration had opened and I was on the waitlist.
