I don't know much, since it's the first time i joined a forum

Hey! I'm George and I'm from greece! Since we're quarantined at home I thought I should try improving my speedcube solves. I only have a 3x3 gan cube and I haven't practiced any others yet.
I already know the CFOP method and some techniques I found out on jperm's videos (if you don't know him check him out, he's awesome!) to help me with OLL and PLL lookahead, so now I'm sub 15, but I know I can do better considering I've been speedcubing for almost 2 years..
I can already tell that this forum's gonna be very usefull!! If you read this, thanks for your time and I'll see you around!! :)

P.S: I'll search if there is a JOLL and ROLL (advanced OLL lookahead using colours to find out some important things about the PLL) article here and if not I'm gonna write it myself ;)

Hello George and welcome.

Sub-15 is a really nice level. I would suggest learning OLLCP after OLL, as JOLL and ROLL is too experimental to be learnt by everyone.
OLLCP is a the algset, where after doing the OLLCP alg, at OLL stage, you always get a ELL (U perms, Z perm or H perm).

Happy Cubing!

Wut? OLLCP is kinda meh.

JOLL and ROLL are great techniques, definitely learn them! As a ZZer, they're partially useful, but for you, definitely. Also quite nice to have another greek cuber, you don't seem to get many of them, the only one coming to mind being Antonie Paterakis (had to look that up to spell it, ngl). Anyway, welcome, hope you have a good time here!

Oh sorry for being out of the theory. I just checked ROLL and JOLL pdfs and they do look useful to learn. Personally, I have focused on OLLCP more, but recognition in OLLCP is non-existent (intuitive), whereas it is standarised in ROLL/JOLL.

Hey, thank you for the advice, but i already know coll or ollcp. i use it everytime but i think ill remove some of the really long algs from my practices..
i also know some vls algs (u insert the last f2l pair with an alg to form a cross) but my main problem is my lookahead during cross and f2l solves. but thank you for your time!!

I think you should try out new events. Only 3x3 can get boring.

i think so too but i live in greece and its nearly impossible to find a good cube store in here.im saving some money right now to buy a 2x2 and a 4x4, and ill also try 3x3 bf. thanks for your time!!

yeah i totally agree. there are times where im doing a coll alg and it just slows me down, despite the ell at the end.. and its pretty difficult to be a zzer, congrats for that! ill probably focus on learning joll and roll and then ill improve my lookahead. thanks for the advice!

Welcome :)
Btw don’t worry about the spam bot, only just appeared and should be gone soon.

Welcome! Like PetrusQuber said, don't worry about all of the spam. This has never happened before, so hopefully it will be gone soon, and you'll be able to see the forums like they are supposed to be.
