Seriously, I've learned over 50 algs and the ones with an "M" move tend to differ. Half the time "M" is turning the m slice away from you (the one that's easy to fingertrick) and half the time "M" is represented by turning the slice towards you (The one that is harder to fingertrick). Which one is right???

According to the speedsolving wiki:
x or [r] - a rotation of the entire cube as if doing an R turn.
y or - a rotation of the entire cube as if doing a U turn.
z or [f] - a rotation of the entire cube as if doing an F turn.

Lol, just noticed that I copied the wrong part from the wiki.
Here is what I meant to put:
* M - a move of the slice between R and L, in the same direction as an L turn.
* E - a move of the slice between U and D, in the same direction as a D turn.
* S - a move of the slice between F and B, in the same direction as an F turn.

according to this, S moves the same direction as B. Which one is wrong?

you dont know who he is? check him out then and hes not just a random person

I cannot find any page that even gives his real name. Lucas Garron, Bob Burton, and Dan Harris are all much more reliable sources that cubed for many years. This guy seems like a noob to me. He is faster than I, he did not cube for as long as I, or seem to know anything more than I do. Also, anyone would puts random fast cubists names and Thrawst and Pestvic in every tag must be a noob.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but he just doesn't look reliable.

Edit: LOL, ROF2L!
He referenced Joel's site and Joel was right.

I believe he is Weston Mizumoto.

From the WCA Regulations:

Middle Slice Moves (middle slice of puzzles with odd number of slices, middle two slices of puzzles with even number of slices):

* 12a13) Clockwise, 90 degrees: M (same direction as L), S (same direction as F), E (same direction as D). (see 12a1).
* 12a14) Counter clockwise, 90 degrees: M', S', E' (see 12a13).
* 12a15) Clockwise, 180 degrees: M2, S2, E2 (see 12a13).
* 12a16) Counter clockwise, 180 degrees: M2', S2', E2' (see 12a13).
