Perfect Drill For Efficient Cross

I recently started improving my Cross on 3×3 and came up with an idea how to practice, if you have few hours each day, then it will took 2-3 days to complete the schedule, but it depends on the number of repetition. I've got better instantly with just two days, so I wanted to share it with you guys, if someone could use the idea too. Here it is:
1. Do the Cross 150 times with 8 or less moves
(Mark them somewhere if possible, so you don't loose the count, and you can mark if you made more than 8 move to complete it, that's helpful too)
2. Do the Cross 150 times with Inspection time
(This gives pressure on, to faster come up with the idea, and it's like a competition environment too)
3. Do the Cross 150 times with Inspection time and without looking at the cube. ( This improves your lookahead, because you can later do the cross with your muscle memory, and focus on the f2l)
4. Do the Cross 150 times with Inspection time and execute it the fastest possible. ( This is the final step, you improve fingertricks on the first step of the CFOP method. It is sad that you have to be able to do the Cross in 10% of the time of your actual solve. So in my case that is: Ao20, if I solve the cube in 20 seconds on average, than 20-%10 is 2 seconds. So I have to execute the cross in 2 seconds. If you are ao10 than its 10% of it, that is 1 second on average)
I hope you find this helpful, Happy Cubing All!!!

nice drill, i'll try it when my new cubes arrive, NEXT YEAR lol (it's true)

I can't always hold 4 cross pieces in my head only 3 :(
Well after you do the first 2 sessions, that's around 200-300 crosses and with that efficiency it would take 6-7 moves on average, and that is not too much I think. But if that is still hard, than you can do the blind stuff with just 2 pieces first, and than open your eyes and finish the last 2 pieces. And than go to 3, and gradually build up your capacity. But do at least 50-100 crosses on each level, so you get used to it, and than put on another challenge. As other commenters said, its about practice and repetition

I can reliably solve 3 cross pieces but sometimes I get lazy and just don't bother figuring out the 4th. It's a really bad habit and I should probably take more inspection time. Same for 2x2 predicting Ortega OLL.

Well yes, definitely a bad habit, so you can try out with longer inspection time, I think that will help too
Its a bit harder to do it right away in the 15s period, I personally struggle with it, maybe because the pressure I can't think more openly, and my thoughts are just bumping out endlesly in that 15 seconds
But I have to get used to it sometime

You have got some serious stuff there my friend. Well I wish you good luck with your drills and goals for the future, and have a successful 2021!!!
thank you so much! I wish you the same :D

Is there some functoriality in csTimer than can be used to enter the move count 6,7,8,9, etc. to record this? I only have a keyboard, not external stackmat timer, etc.

There is no way set the timer to "typing" for a single session though, right? You'd have to change it back and forth between the actual keyboard timer and typing for different sessions?
If you go to the settings, and click the little white checkmark box on the right of that setting, it will change that setting only for that session. For example, if your default timer is with the keyboard, then you check the box, then change the timer to typing, you can make Session A use the keyboard timer and Session B use typing. Make sure if you use the keyboard for timing most of the time that you have that set as your timer before you click that white box.

Wow that is awesome. there is so much csTimer functionality I've been missing for years. Cheers,
