Just looking for some advice. What else would you do if you're having anxiety attacks? Do you immerse yourself in cubing or solving more other puzzles? Or is there anything else that you do that you found helpful too? Please share, I just need some thoughts to think and do that can help. Thank you. :(

I actually experince them from time to time. The best way for me is to stop thinking. What I do is I just lay down in bed or something, and think of something peaceful, like being on a lake, in a little boat, all by yourself. If you can, listen to some music, specifically, I use Delta Waves. It calms you, and allows you to relax. Try to seperate yourself from whatever is making you nervous. If it is something that is not physical, or you can’t get away from it, try to not think about it, which brings me back to telling you to not think. If it is serious, or very persistent, try seeking professional help.

I always get them from having too much homework assigned to me ( especially recently studying for my first ever HS math final.) what I do is eat something. It seems to work.

Thank you for sharing your own way of coping to this, I found the Delta waves really helpful too, it's a bit sad music but I think I'm not depressed because the music worked for me spefically this one :)

I have found that Incorporating intentional breathing, yoga, and meditation into my life has help manage anxiety & stress. It is useful in the moment and has been a good long term solution for me.

The “Legs up the wall” pose I have found to be very helpful when my heart is going to jump out of my chest or I want to yeet everything in site across the room. Just lay in this pose as long as you can with your eyes closed. It works for me.

I got over the anxious stage of the virus itself back in March/April. It's more the state of the world itself that causes latent pressure. Things are a bit calmer than they were in the summer where the world was starting to look a lot like the intro montage to a shitty dystopian flick, but I'm currently studying and despite the various fluctuations in the rules the pandemic/lockdown has changed the way everything feels. I can't take my girlfriend out for a nice meal, or we can't go to a bar and then go drunkenly dancing at a nightclub. I can't even play tabletop anymore. We just have to remain indoors and do the same thing, day in, day out. I don't fear the virus, but the world it's created is mentally taxing.

Right now I'm focusing on my short-term responsibilities. Finishing my degree within the next half a year (weird to type that out), and with the vaccine just now rolling out I keep my morale above the water level by thinking about how when I'm free of studying and graduated, the world will likely be in a better place and we can be free again.

@Ravagerous How are you doing now? I hope you're with your parents while you celebrate the New Year! Nothing's ever happier than to be with your loved ones at this end of the year celebration. Happy New Year!

Hi! Yep, I had fun celebrating New Year with my family and and my cousin's family (they've decided to spend the New Year with us), so it became a bigger party that night. We drunk the whole night tbh lol. How about you? I hope you also had a great New Year with your family or relatives. :)

Hi Ravagerous,

To deal with anxiety, I found exercising works by far the best. Like someone said, "If they could put exercise in a pill, it would be the best bestseller ever." Furthermore, avoid junk information from the internet and read a quality book or watch a good movie/series instead.

If you self isolate for 7+ days and don't develop covid symptoms you are free to visit your parents. Some people can develop symptoms up to 12 days from infection, but by far most get sick by the 7-8th day from infection. ...source is 2 doctors I have in my family.

But looking at the brigther side, we have the vaccines on rollout as we speak. I'm sure this year will do better for us and to our family.
