My progression is, is... I don't really know, after 10 months of cubing I'm averaging between 14-16 seconds with CFOP, even though I'm not focusing on improving because for now I'm concentrating in colour neutrality because I don't want colour neutrality hard to master later on. Which I'm a bit mad that I keep improving when I'm trying to be colour neutral.

December 2009 -> Worked out how to solve the cube using what I now know as commutators
January 2010 -> Started speed solving
Sometime in 2010 -> Switched to Roux, from LBL
Sometime in 2011 -> Switched to k4 for all big cubes
Sometime in 2012 -> Set a PB I am still yet to beat on 3x3, 12.something
Sometime in 2013 -> Quit speed solving
August 2020 -> Returned to speed solving
September 2020 -> Finally beat the 60 second barrier on 4x4
Ongoing -> Breaking all my PBs apart from 3x3, which I expect to be entirely unbeatable

2009-2010: learned to solve cube from youtube videos (not sure on exact dates, but when V-Cubes were only 7x7s, and I watched a lot of thrawst and MMAP, when alpha cubes were the best)
sometime between 2010 and 2015: learned basic f2l
2018 summer: youtube revitalized my interest in cubing
2020 july: started practicing 2x2
2020 september: started practicing 3x3 seriously

not even kidding
