When all the cube is solved except for two corners as below, is R'B'RB R'B'R U' R'BR B'R'BR U (16 steps) the quickest way to solve it?

No, it isn't. Two sunes (antisunes) will do it in 14 moves, and someone with Cube Explorer may be able to do better.

Hmmm, i use a rotation and would to it like:

(U R U' R')x2 L' (R U R' U')x2

17 steps, but all R and U

I think im wrong, 80%, would that keep the permutation?
I think im doing it wrong, but it has the effect of an edge cycle?

The regular way I do it is 14 moves (after orienting the cube about [u']). I like to use R and D and F to twist one corner and put it back up on the top face (keeping the other cubies on the top face intact), then do a U operation and undo what I did to twist another corner the other way.
y' (R' D R)(F D F')(U)(F D' F')(R' D' R) U'
I got this concept from David Singmaster's book, Notes on Rubik's Magic Cube back in the early '80's.

Hi :-)

One could always use a premove (setup) for the following:

(R' D2 R B' U2 B)*2 [well known?] which gives:

R' (R' D2 R B' U2 B)*2 R = R2 D2 R B' U2 B R' D2 R B' U2 B R (13)

Short but not fast ... Double sune can be done quite fast!

I was thinking rotate yellow as F: r U R' U' r' F R F', then rotate the solved corner into the the bottom left (If you're looking at the red face) and do x R' U R' D2 R U' R' D2 R2. 20 moves tho. :( I guess I'm not that great, but I'm still a novice, noobie, beginner, etc.

I use the following alg. to do the permutation:

[F D2 F' R' D2 R] U' [R' D2 R F D2 F' ] U

as "rjohnson_8ball" also an alg. from the early '80's. One of very few I still remember. ;-)
