Why would you put dot-pi in the thumbnail when it's basically the nicest dot OLL… It even has a few nice OLLCP algs (e.g. R U' R2 D' r U r' D R2 U R').

The intuitive VHLS nonsense you demonstrated at around 3:13 is indeed obviously terrible, but there are better VHLS algs for that case, e.g. (U2) sledge U2 sledge or (y U2) r' U2 R U R' F2 U r. (These aren't worth it compared to just sledging (unless you know ZBLL), but at least they're not as ridiculous as doing a 13-move insert.)
