When I watch a cubing video, I am normally not interested in the judge, timer display and other people. I just want to see the solve and the reaction afterwards

Then again, I have an old 2500+ Athlon XP which basically only runs on 1.83 GHz (single core)... (it took up 99% CPU!!!) with 1.5 GB of RAM I guess I'll have to wait until I buy a sick laptop before exploring the awesomeness of HD.
Which browser are you using? I usually use Opera and can see youtube HD, then for some reason I used Internet Explorer and wasn't offered the HD option and the fmt parameter also didn't work. On the same computer! So far I haven't found out why.

I am guessing right here, but I guess for full HD you need the most recent version of Flash.
For Opera and Internet Explorer the installation process of Flash is different so you might have different versions of Flash installed. You can check this theory on several places on the adobe website or simply in add/remove programs

None of them give me a crisp clear HD picture, and it's not just for your vid, I even made a quick demo vid with my friend's camcorder and I can't even view it at normal speed on Windows Media Player (11)...
I really think it's the 1.5 GB of RAM and the 1.83 GHz CPU. ><
