[Unofficial] Stefan Pochmann 3x3x3 single 14.xy (HD)

I like how you "show" us the time on the stackmat timer.
Yeah, when I did that I had no idea whether it would be readable later on. In the original video it's somewhat readable, but not at all anymore on youtube. Oh well, the point of such a test is to find out what works and what doesn't, and now I know this doesn't.

Btw, youtube's "HD" is nowhere near real HD, more like "finally full SD":

I don't know why, but it happens to me some of the time, too, and it can be quite ugly. Once it's fully loaded, it usually plays fine, though. It also seems to help to start watching in HD right from the start. For that I skip to shortly before the end, then switch to HD, wait until it's finished, then click play again.

I think its a mix between your graphics card, your PC-Setup generelly and your browser (and sometimes a bit of luck, but I don't know why... ;) ).

1. Let the video fully load. (I guess nowadays nearly all people know that)

2. Try not to have too many Programs running at once (may could use too
much RAM)
3. Reload the video

I hope it'll work, if it doesn't, don't worry, many users have problems with HD streaming, some people with youtube, some with others.

I tried playing it 5 times, and the graphics did not improve significantly enough to say that I could actually make out the normal solve (it kept skipping 15 frames or so, very ugly. :()

I'm just going to assume it's my 5 year old computer with an old 256 MB RADEON 9600 video card (I use XP and DirectX 9.0c)...

:(

But good solve anyway; watchign it in normal quality gave some "okay" results.

Wow, very nice to watch videos in this quality. I'm considering buying a camera like this. What was the size of the video file you've uploaded to youtube?
Could you please compress it to like 5~10MB to show how it looks? Thank you.

oh, and I can read the time, although not very well. Looks like it's 14.56, indeed.

The uploaded file of the 3x3 solve is 7.7 MB large, you can download it here:

The uploaded file of the 7x7 solve is 144 MB large, it took maybe an hour to upload to youtube and then between 5 and 15 hours for youtube to process (I don't know, I finally gave up waiting and went to bed). I guess it could be smaller, but this one time I wanted to have really good quality and chose a fairly high bitrate (3000 Kbps).

is there a reason you choose to put so much empty space around you?
That was a test for how it will look when I take it with me to a competition. Where the empty space would be filled with judge, timer display, and people running around in front of the camera.

And my Aiptek camcorders only have digital zoom which I think is bad. Although I must admit I haven't tried it yet. I should.
