Hello I am EvanTheCuber but you can call me Evan. I am a beginner speedcuber, as I started solving the cube in January. But as the months have passed, I have picked up some cubes. I didn't really know about Rubiks Cubes back then, so when I went to move on from a cheap 5$ speed cube, I bought the Rubik's And Gan collaboration Cube known as the Rubiks Speed Cube. It could turn decently and the corner-cutting was ok but I should have bought one of Gans Budget 3x3s. After a while, my friends started getting new cubes. One of my friends got the Moyu Weilong GTS3M while one of my other cuber friends got the GAN 356 X. By then, I knew that GAN cubes were good, so I bought the Coogam Gan Air SM at 39.99$. After I got this cube, I started cubing more often. I started trying to learn CFOP but I failed. Once in awhile I could get 25 and would be so happy but I would also get some 40s and then flop onto my bed in defeat. My average started decreasing into the 30s while my stickers on my cube started dying. And 1 month ago, I just got the GAN 356X. My Average has now dropped to 25 and My PB is 9(OLL skip and half PLL skip). I have learned OLL and PLL but still working on F2l. My birthday is nearing and I can Spend 130$. I am thinking of buying the GAN 356 XS as I have heard it is much better than the X, The YuXin little Magic 3x3, YuXin little Magic 2x2, YJ Yulong 3x3, a Speed Stacks Timer, Lube, Cleaning Kit, and finally a mat for throwing my cube on. I only do 3x3 but I'm interested in some 2x2. Im looking forward to join SpeedSolving.com! Thanks

Welcome to the forums! right now the gan XS wouldn't actually improve your times, I would recommend getting a 4x4 instead, the aosu GTS2M 4x4 is a really good option.
Hi Owen, Is it difficult to learn 4x4? Lets say I practice for a month. What is my average going to be? Thanks

welcome, i wouldn't consider yourself a beginner "level" cuber since u average 25 which is better then me on 3x3, but welcome to the speedcubing community.
(also, why is everyone faster then me?? you started a few months ago and your already faster then me on 3x3 while i've been cubing for a year and average like 27 sec  :? )

4x4 is quite easy: centres are very intuitive, with some very short algs (like sexy for corner insertion on 3x3). Then edge pairing, which is a couple algs, or none, if you figure out why they work. Then solve like 3x3. 2 algs are needed for parity, OLL is pretty long, PLL is short.
