Remove 2x2 from official event

Why sould 2x2 be removed?

2x2 is pretty much the easiest beginner event. It has luck, but to get world class you actually need to be good and practice. You could say the same thing for pretty much every other event. like 3x3 LL skip or something

I agree, feet is completely different and was removed because of different reasonhs. e.g. hygiene e.t.c.

Hockey has been proven to be the most luck based sport. There's a Vox youtube video on it.

and i DONT HATE 2x2 at competition.
seems like many people dont care about 2x2. so i made polling just to test u.
many voted no, so that is good there is so many people still care with 2x2

All of these sports have luck factor.
Running and swimming to a much lesser extent, but they still do.
Even a game like chess has a luck factor.

2x2 doesn’t negatively affect anybody who doesn’t like it.

There are no reasons to remove it. There were real reasons to remove feet, which I don’t agree with, but they definitely do in fact exist, unlike 2x2.

2x2 is a staple event and one of the original Rubik’s cubes, the Pocket Cube, and the WCA has always had it and it is just so important and defining to the whole of cubing and cubing history.

Nowadays, 2x2 is said to be completely luck based and too short. Well, skewb is almost as fast and much less of a staple to cubing.
There is still a wide range of skill levels in 2x2 solving, and it isn’t easy to be able to 1-look every solve or average sub-2.
It is a fact that 2x2 requires a lot of skill.

2x2 will never be removed from the WCA.

I completely agree, 2x2, Clock all want to be removed by some random fellow with little to no argument for it.

Clock does at least have real reasons for people to want it to be removed, where 2x2 has none
