dude my best single is barely faster than that! and ive been cubing for 5 years!
You should learn Roux and ZZ and maybe Petrus and then decide which method suits you the best. It's about fun. I enjoy Roux the most, and I am not overly fond of learning algs. So I chose Roux, because it's half the algs of CFOP.maybe I’ve should have picked that method as well. XD

I would begin as soon as you can. Don’t wait until after OLL. Just looking at the method’s can’t compare with actually using them, and I sincerely hope you try all 4 main methods to see which one you like. It might not look good, but trust me, they all are. (And not having enough resources isn’t really valid either, because all of the methods, excepting maybe Petrus have a lot of information about them, especially here on SpeedSolving.I looked at different methods. I don’t want Petrus or ZZ. For me it was either CFOP or Roux and i chose CFOF because there is more content focused around teaching CFOP and because it’s easy to continue with CFOP after learning beginners method. Maybe when i learned full OLL I’ll Begin learning Roux for fun or even for switching to it if i really like it.

Don't wanna get into a roux vs CFOP discussing but I feel like mentioning that Roux might be better for "older" cubers, because high TPS is not needed as much as in CFOP, maybe that has an effect?
Nope, CFOP is his field of expertise which makes his point of view on Roux and ZZ slightly inaccurate.I can really imagine that you could say that roux might be better for cubers that are around 30yrs or older. But i feel like theres more to the choice between roux and CFOP than just move count.
I really liked this video. Does a good job of describing the benefits of each method. And at the end CFOP and Roux were like equally good methods.
I like CFOP currently better because i like the structured alg based approach. But i could definitely see me changing my mind someday. And thats what I’ve meant when saying i want to try roux for fun after learning OLL.

algcount doesn’t matter as long as someone can learn ityeah of course he has a little bias towards his own method but the way he talked about roux seemed like he doesn’t say it’s worse just because it isn’t his method.
Do you think ZZ is worse (even if its just a little bit) than Roux and CFOP? If i recall correctly is has to many algorithms.

I laughed at the comment on the vid ‘my friend uses Petrus and he unsubscribEd’ lmao. How could you...I can really imagine that you could say that roux might be better for cubers that are around 30yrs or older. But i feel like theres more to the choice between roux and CFOP than just move count.

J Perm: ZZ is the best at, well, nothing. Some people say it’s good for feet, but it’s feet. Lol
we’re not saying you have to learn all the algs for every method. we’re saying you should use the most basic set of algs (two-look CMLL for roux, 1-look oll and 2-look pll for zz)True that but my question was if you think that ZZ is Overall harder than CFOP or Roux in terms of time investment vs rewards(in terms of times).
but overall i want to make clear, that i think everyone can choose any method and have fun and good times with it. Some are just harder to get results with i think.
Yep, imo ZZ is slightly better than CFOP due to being rotationless and having a lower move count. It can be optimised by doing EOCross and influencing Left Block pieces during EO to reduce R/L transitions. But the CN restrictions hindered the method from being good.yeah of course he has a little bias towards his own method but the way he talked about roux seemed like he doesn’t say it’s worse just because it isn’t his method.

Recognition and recall speed matter thoalgcount doesn’t matter as long as someone can learn it
