Hiya!

My name is SoaringAscent, I'm 16 years old and from the Netherlands. I got my first cube as a Christmas gift about 3 years ago, and have since then been interested in cubing as a whole. I learned to solve it, learned to solve pyraminx and 4x4, got to an average of about 40 seconds, started on F2L and then...gave up. I just didn't cube for a long time for some reason, but I started again!

After completing Beginner F2L I did some timed solves and fell in love again. I beat my PB, rewatched some youtube videos and before I realized it I was here on this website..!

--Mains--

2x2 - QiYi / Mo Fang Ge Wu Que, but I use it as a 2x2
3x3 - Rubik's Brand
4x4 - QiYi / Mo Fang Ge Wu Que
Pyraminx - Meffert's

--Just Ordered--

QiYi Thunderclap V1
YuXin Little Magic 2x2
ShengShou Mirror 3x3

--PB's--

2x2 - S: 11.31 Mo3: 17.30 Ao5: 17.30 Ao12: 19.97
3x3 - S: 24.69 Mo3: 28.13 Ao5: 30.03 Ao12: 33.00
4x4 - S: 1:23.70 Mo3: 1:56.98 Ao5: 1:51.15 Ao12: 19.97
Pyraminx - Never timed since i started again, be right back..!

--Currently learning--

Intermediate F2L and 4LLL

--Goals--

I got my goal of a sub 25 seconds Single solve, so now im going for a sub 30 Ao5. But my goal for now is to beat 22.95 so i would have been the world record holder in 1982! After that I'll probably try to work down to the next Record.
I really want to learn 2x2 and 3x3 blindfolded, but that seems like a big step. Any advice?
I'd love to solve bigger and bigger cubes, but they cost quite a lot. It's a fun goal nevertheless..!

I'd love to be part of a small group of (international) cubers on the same level as me that I can chat with, share times with, have little competitions, general stuff like that. I sadly don't know any people that cube, so hit me up if you want to talk or have a group I could fit in!
I filmed and edited a session of mine, and I'm thinking about uploading it either to YouTube or on here, so you may see that pretty soon lol.

Thanks a lot for reading this! If you have any advice or something please leave a comment! I'd love to talk!

Welcome! I assume you’re around sub 35, yes?
To help you along with your goal, I’d say do your 4LLL and F2L, then work on your cross inspection. Then gradually learn full PLL, the advanced F2L cases, and train lookahead. You don’t need to heed my words though, e.g. you can be at least sub 20 with 4LLL. Plus, maybe get a new 3x3 speedcube. :)

Thanks! I indeed average around 35 seconds (on a good day...)
I'm almost done with 4LLL, just the last part. My cross inspection is literal garbage, so I'll work on that too lol.
I ordered the Thunderclap v1, so I'm already working on the new cube situation!

Plus, 2 and 3BLD requires basically no knowledge from normal speed cubing, so if you like, you can try it now! I got my first success in under a month (3BLD) learning from videos. Just search up Old Pochmann on YouTube.

Also, soz for being a nub and diving straight into posting without looking at your cube orders and previous posts ;)
