how much is cheap or expensive for you? most of the top flagship cubes are around 25 USD. there are some good budget cubes that are 10 USD or less. At the beginner level, you won't notice much of a difference in your times when using a budget cube or a flagship cube. As you get to sub 30 or sub 20, the cube starts to matter more. That being said, the top cubes now are probably going to be around as good as the budget cubes 2-3 years in the future.
I've tried most of the flagship cubes and they are all good for roux. For the budget cubes, I don't really know.

- What time do you need to get?
- Kian Mansour uses the Valk 3 M, I think Sean Patrick also uses it. So it's safe to say that it's good for Roux. But in reality, most cubes are good for Roux even cheaper budget cubes. Jules Manalang from The Cubicle uses a MeiLong and he gets 11-12 times all the time.
- Already answered.
- Printed guides are tough. Kian Mansour has a great guide on YouTube. You can make notes and make your own printed guide.
