How do you rate this cube

I also use the MeiLong 4 M at comp. I own the MeiLong 5, but haven't magnetized it yet. I ordered the MeiLong 2 (twice) so I'll mag one of them and see how it performs. I heard good reviews about it though.

I personally really like the MeiLong series. They're cheap, but they perform well. I have no real interest in the 6-12 size though other than collection anxiety. :)

A great series of budget puzzles, competing against the Little Magic and Yulong series of cubes. An improvement to the original MF series of budget puzzles. The Meilong 4x4M is the only Meilong I have, but I have heard great things about the other cubes, especially the larger ones for their smaller size.

If only MFJS make a factory magnetised series of these puzzles, they would be great!

Does anyone have experience with the Shengshou Mr M series of cubes and how do these compare to the Meilong series of puzzles?

They are not as good. The Mr. M 2x2 is too fast. The 3x3 is good but the Meilong is better (once magnetic). The 4x4 is pretty good but the Meilong is much better (once magnetic). The 5x5 is terrible. The Meilong is much better.

Mr.M Pyraminx?

What magnets would you recommend for the Meilong 5x5? I am aware you used 4x1.5mm N35 throughout the cube and I have watched your review on the 5x5. Is there anything you would do differently to the 5x5 in the magnetisation?

I might use something a little stronger on the inner slice but it came out really good as-is.

Judging from review videos, budget 4x4 and 5x5 slices can be easily misaligned. Am I assuming correctly that magnets are almost a necessity just to save myself from such angst?

How doe the YLM compare to the meilong w/o magnets? What about when magnetised to the Aosu GTS2M and WRM?

I do not have some of the cubes listed in your message but I can tell you what others think of this comparison. According to SpeedCubeReview, he prefers the Meilong/Yusu over the Little Magic. The Meilong 4x4M, as agreed by many speedcubers, is better than the Little Magic.

Not sure about the Aosu/WRM but you could refer to this poll:

However, since the WR M is a newer cube, fewer people will have it and therefore this might not truly represent which cube is the best. I am also aware the WRM is 59mm like the Meilong if the size is a deciding factor. The Aosu WR/GTS2 would probably be better performing than a home-magnetised Meilong, but the Meilong is much cheaper.

Sorry I couldn't give a true comparison, I am sure someone who has these cubes will be able to add to this.

Ok. I will take that into consideration.

For AoSu WR M, we will have to wait for reviews.
