Hey everyone,
At the moment i can now solve a Rubik's cube in about 30-35 seconds. I want to get faster. The thing that i think is slowing me down right now is my F2L. I did 12 F2L solves to see my average for doing F2L-
15.35
15.39
18.58
18.45
18.05
15.52
13.67
14.58
21.24
14.11
18.1
12.11
average-16.26 seconds

Is this considered slow? What should it be? What should i do to help improve my time?

Thanks for responses!

Is this with cross?

The average time is not awful, but I see you have a bunch of 18's and a super-20 in there. You might want to try working on consistency.

This is only F2L. This does not include the cross. My average for the cross is 3.9 sec.

reduce the time for the cross, to 2-3 seconds, and then be more consistent on F2L and 16 seconds should include ur cross, then u'd be sub 25 np, if u work on LL.

He would have to have a 9 second LL for that and at the moment it looks like its 15 seconds?

lol, i wrote if he works on LL, 4 look LL, x 2.5 seconds each = 10 seconds.

just a couple of weeks back, my F2L including cross is around 16~17 secs, and i avged around 24~25, but i use 3 look LL, so yea.

my F2L improved a bit so now i'm a few seconds faster, i avg around 23 now.

Thanks guys

My PLL is good. I can perform my PLL algorithms fast and can easily recognize them. I know most but all the 4 on the second to last row (http://www.cubezone.be/pll.html). My OLL is ok for now, I know only about 12 or 13 patterns (http://www.cubezone.be/oll.html) so it always takes a bit extra time to get to a pattern i recognize. Once I do see a pattern, I'm quick to solve. I'll improve my OLL as time goes on. Too many to learn all at once.

Once again it really all comes back down to getting to know my F2L.

just learn all PLL, andOLL all u really need to know is 9 (7 with 4 edges oriented and 2 with 2 edges oriented) and with a good f2l u can avg sub 25 no problem. keep working on that F2l and hope u get faster :)
