I respect your opinion that Skewb is very fun. I do quite like it. It looks cool, it feels cool, and it’s new! Newest added WCA Event! Skewb is fun!

You live on thin Ice, you know that

[Kumato]

God it's truly horrible to see how wrong all of you are

[Tony Acevedo]

very easy to learn, fun to do, and a unique puzzle I agree to your statement

It's interesting how nobody sees that Sq-1 is clearly and most definitely the absolute best event possible to exist

[ImmolatedMarmoset]

That’s fair to say, but clock is still the best.

[Cubingcubecuber]

Yes

[Tony Fisher]

Ignoring one's own preference, is there a logical objective arguement for what makes an event the best? I would suggest it's one where luck is a low factor yet the event is popular enough to have a lot of people doing it very seriously.

I really hope you are joking. If you are your joke is still less of a joke than clock hardware.

Nope. Not joking. Clock hardware isn’t bad if you know how to make it.

[Daxton Brumfield]

Well I must be doing it wrong. How do you make a clock feel good? My ling aou barely turns, and have have not even been happy with clocks with magnetic pins. What's the secret?

[ImmolatedMarmoset]

It’s kind of complicated to explain. In practice, not that hard, but if you could PM me I’ll show you how to do it. I don’t want to clog up a new member thread.

It’s tied for first with clock, maybe just a bit worse, but I do love it so much.

An event with low luck would probably be 7x7 or megaminx. But I doubt them being very popular and not a lot of people would see them as favourites. I think luck is important to make an event good. But not too much luck should be involved. It should be a mixture of luck and skill yet it should still be popular.
