How do I get a 20 second solve using F2L with out OLL and PLL?

I think it's because my beastin ass F2L was 9 seconds or so during that solve. I'm sub-18-ing F2L recently. God... God.. this is awesome.

How do you do your Last Layer without OLL or PLL? Petrus LL? CLL + ELL? Plus, if you sub-18 F2L, that leaves a little over 2.83 seconds for LL, which I think is pretty hard. Can you really do that? If you can really do a 2.83 second LL, I need to know how, because if I got a 2.83 second LL every single time I would be averaging around 18 seconds (my LL is terrible).

I think he meant that he got a 20 second single solve, which had a 9 second F2L... leaving 11 seconds for LL. But his that his real average for F2L is sub-18 and the 9 seconds was just a single solve thing.

So given his 11 second LL in that single solve, he should actually average... barely sub-30?

Maybe not, the 11 second LL in his solve could have also been faster than normal, or slower than normal, it's difficult to tell.

sub-18 f2l isnt fast enough to get a sub-20 solve
What about a LL skip

I am, but I don't know who else is, assuming that he got a non-lucky solve

You're close to my average. My averages are 30-35. You see, since I solve the LL using the Beginners Method, my times fluctuate. Once I learn OLL and PLL I should bring my average to about 24-28

Umm, why did you just quote him?

And for your question, you need another LL method to get a sub-20 with F2L and with no OLL and PLL.

He quoted him to say, "You're close to my average. My averages are 30-35." but accidentally put it inside the quotes.
