What are some of the worst cubes you've ever gotten before? Whether it be from a cubing retailer, or a present on Christmas. I'll start.

3x3 (DianSheng I think...)
Pops a lot.
Turning is terrible.

Why would you get one?
There was time when that was all there was. I remember how happy I was when I got my first Eastsheen - it was SO much better than the Rubik's. And then when the VCubes 5x5x5 came out - wow, it was heaven!

Amazing how much big cube quality has improved over the years.

I remember the days when the Shengshou's were the best for 5-7 and pyra.

I think the worst cube I bought where some cheap cubes from like Walgreens and places like that (bought them for the lolz). Other than those, probably the lanlan 2x2, It popped and was not really all that great. I got it in 2014 so there were much better cubes then.

So many advancements... like corner cutting!

Rubik's wooden 30th anniversary cube. Every turn is a struggle which usually results in a pop. I've solved it just once and it ruined my day. No regrets tho, still one of the prettiest cubes I own.

I have one too, and while I agree that it doesn't turn well, mine's not as bad as what yours sounds like. (I got a 23.x ao5 on it, which isn't too bad considering I average low 16 with a GTS2M.)

One time, I got a Valk 3 M. It was definitely one of the worst cubes I have gotten. I ended up throwing it away.

It’s not that the cube was bad, but the ChueWen 2x2. The cube itself wasn’t bad, its that everyone thought it was mass produced with magnets, so when it arrived it was a disappointment to see that it didn’t have them...still a great cube though.
