How to fix a horrible WuQue

So recently I got a WuQue from JPearly, a trusted Malaysian online cube store. When I first got it, I was really excited because I was told that out of the box it performs amazingly but for me, out of the box the middle layers and outer layers were catchy and hard to turn and really bumpy.
Is there some way to remedy this?
P.S I have already disassembled the cube and wiped EVERYTHING and now it's in pieces on my desk

Look around the pieces to see if they have any excess plastic that needs to be removed. Or even put it back together, you may have just fixed the problem.

I think the out-of-the-box performance of the Wuque has been somewhat oversold. OOTB mine turned fine but a bit bumpy, and now after a few thousand solves and some light lubrication it's very smooth.

(If your issue is mostly with the middle layers turning horribly, as if something is catching all the time, check if the alignment nubs on opposite faces of the core are pointing in the same direction. If they aren't, you might have to unscrew one of the faces to realign it properly.)

Done. It's the same

UPDATE: I feel like I need to describe the feeling a bit clearly to let you guys understand. The outer layers are acceptable, being very crunchy and bumpy. But the middle layers are weird. When turning, they stop mid turn and start and stop again. It's like the friction is too much.

Clean the screws and springs, add some washers if their aren't any and lube the core with some medium weight. That should do it. If not, then either the cube is defective in some manner or not up to your standard.
