Hi guys,

I just wanted to ask for detailed tips to get to sub 20 but first I will tell you guys where my position at speed cubing.

1. I am currently around the 24-30. My times fluctuate a lot in those ranges so tips to get rid of that would be really appreciated
2. I use CFOP
3. I use 2 look oll and full oll
4. Really bad at g and n perms
5. I do cross in 4 secs max
6. I use a a mix of f2l algs (36 of them) and intuitive (Don't worry I already have mastered intuitive)
7. Oll and Pll is usually done in 8 seconds altogether but can go up to 13 if I get the worst perms
8. I do slow solves and am currently practising look ahead
9. PB is 19 secs

So that's basically it for where I am at. I would love it if you guys could tell me how to just get sub 20 other than saying just practise. anyway tips would really help and links to resources will be used.

According to this model (assuming your global average is around 27.5) your splits should be 3.3, 13.75, 4.5, 6.9 and for sub20 they should be 2.4, 10, 3.1, 4.2 which means your LL is pretty much sub20 worthy, your cross is okay but will need some work and your F2L needs lots of work. You have by no means mastered F2L, you might understand the basic concept of F2L but with your times I can almost guarantee your F2L is garbage. The mistakes most people do is unnecessary rotations (y2s, multiple rotations per pair, doing rotations to find your next pair and looking at the back), inefficienty (taking out a piece without knowing what to do resulting in lots or RUR's per pair and other stupid things) and lack of lookahead.

I think you're on the right track! Start practicing/ mastering your pll algs. Learn how to better recognize pll from all angles. Do more timed solves! Try doing optimal crosses on the bottom. Work on your f2l efficiency by going to http://algdb.net/Set/F2L and seeing if there is a more efficient way to do each f2l case.
Stop doing slow solves for now, as they make your solves incredibly inefficiency! Also, do more untimed solves where you try to do the most efficient solve possible (I found that to help a ton when I was at your speed and I still do that now that I'm sub 11)!
Mainly just work on making your f2l more efficient!
You might also want to minimize rotations during f2l, but don't worry too much about it.

You really didn't hold back dude. This is the kind of constructive criticism I need though so this really helped! I will definitely be training f2l a lot more. Thanks!

This helpful advice will be taken in. Thanks! BTW I also already have taken a look at the f2l sets in alg db and have learned 36 of them but thanks anyway for providing it!
