In what time should I be able to solve the cube to go to my first competition. I can solve it in 2:30 but my PB 1:59.

We already have at least 2 threads about this, use the search function. But to give the typical generic answer: you don't have to be fast, just go and have fun. If you want to get to the finals though, I think the limit is usually somewhere around sub-20.

In Aachen the competitor who finished last in the 3^3 speedsolve event was awarded a special prize. So you can win prizes even with a 3 minutes average
