Sub-20 Priority Poll

In your opinion, which is most important for getting sub-20 on 3x3?

Mostly lookahead. If you're young with quick fingers, then TPS will get you there, but if you've got slow fingers, lookahead is most important. Efficiency is important, but saving a move or two doesn't help unless you see it in advance, which is lookahead.

Also, lookahead helps PLL recognition because you can see blocks forming as you finish OLL.

Look ahead definetely. My pbs and best solves are all solves where I happened to see f2l pairs right in front of the cube causing amazing lookahead even though I suck at lookahead

Just think how much faster you could be if you bothered to learn full OLL.
About .5 faster? Also I don't really care about 3x3 except for FMC which the chances that knowing an OLL will help me is if I find a really efficient F2L and then get a PLL skip and even that would only result in an average solution. Honestly full OLL doesn't help much until you are sub10 imo

Honestly, .5 is a lot when you're already sub13! There is not anything else that can instantly shave half a second off your average.

Colin Burns made a video on why full oll is overrated. Once you get to 13 though I would definitely learn it.

The video:

Efficient cross. Definitely efficient cross. I'm totally not joking or being sarcastic here. Totally. Efficient cross is definitely the best thing you can do to improve your times. Definitely. No sarcasm whatsoever. None at all.

The fact is, you'll be faster with it than without it. Yes there are other things that make a bigger difference, but it makes no sense to make absolute statements about full OLL like "you don't need it until sub-13". Whenever you learn it, you'll get faster from it, and the earlier you learn it the more practice you give the algs and recognition.

full OLL is overrated but please don't do n00by solutions to OLLs like:
setup=F R' F' R U R U' R'
solution=F R U R' U' F' U2 r U R' U' r' F R F'
or
setup=F U R U' R' F' U2
solution=F R U R' U' F' U2 R' U2 R2 U R2 U R2 U2 R'

tl;dr some olls are ez and are worth learning
