[Unofficial] Erik mefferts 4x4 black review (47.36 avg)

nice 44 with OLL parity - you solved the F2l so fast on that one.

A few questions.

1. Would you recommend it over an eastsheen in the long run?
2. Does it pop?
3. Would it cut down your times from an eastsheen?
4. Do you still use 2 edge pairing on the M slice?
5. What tips can you give for me - I average about 65-70. I have a 4x4 solve on my youtube account. Breakdown: 15-30-25
6. I think my 3x3 solve on my ES is very slow as i average about 14 on a 3x3 - Would the mefferts cut down this time?

Thanks, and I hope you reply.

Erik you are ridiculous! I'm glad to see that your black cube looks a lot better than Dan's felt.

4. pretty sure he does, its just too fast so it looks like he's doing more.
5. edges, feliks, edges. my breakdown is usually 15-25-35, you should work on edges.
6. It seemed easier on Dan's. It will need a lot of breaking in though.

Does lubing really improve the cube ?
I have a black Mefferts but it's really stiff. But I will try to break it in since a center of my white one broke yesterday:mad:

1. I think I'll use mefferts as competition cube yes
2. I haven't had one pop on it ever
3. My times? Hard to say, I think it would hardly make a difference
4. Can't you see that in the vid?
5. Are you really asking me a 'how to get faster' question?:(
6. No idea, this depends on the solver and his preferences

And TMOY: it helped it getting from ultimate stiffness to 'twistable'
