I have a question which is not really a cubing question but important for me.The thing is i do sports like push ups ,pull ups etc...
If i train my body(just for fitness not bodybuilding) but practice also cubing will i lose my speed? The problem is that my friend said if i train my arms i will lose my flexibility, and my fingers will be not so fast i not believe it but i want to know what your opinions are?
Thanks for all replys

Will you lose your flexibility-No. You Can actually gain arm muscle, but your fingers and wrists should relatively stay the same unless your doing exercises to work them. So id not worry

Ok thanks but what will happen if i work not with my fingers but i want to do my wrists a bit stronger cause i have really weak wrists

Don't worry about your wrists. Cubing will naturally strengthen your wrists a little bit, but not much. I started weightlifting a ton as I started cubing and I never had any problems.

Well, I've been doing a fair bit of strength based exercises since well before I started and I've never noticed any slower improvement than my friends.

In fact I've overtaken a few of them on that time and I only ever have a slight issue for about 10 minutes of i do something like pull ups but that always passes quickly.

I don't think so. If anything, you will gain speed because you will have a stronger grip to cubes and have better control over them.

You'll lose speed if you cube right after a work out. Aside from that. If won't affect you much. Your brains processing speed is what makes tu faster at Cubing. Actual physical speed is second.

Making yourself stronger should never affect any activities in a negative way. In fact getting stronger has a positive affect on any sport, activity, etc. Don't worry about it.
