Hello, all, my name is Marcelo, I'm 18, and just started cubing about a month ago. I joined the forums a few days ago but I couldn't figure out how to start a thread via mobile :P

A little about me:
I'm a high school senior who will be graduating in 4 months and majoring in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or Accounting at The University of Texas. My hobbies include playing guitar and piano, designing logos and pictures with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, reading about new technology, reading, and cubing of course!

My personal best, which I set today, is 49 seconds with a scramble generated by CSTimer. I use a "modified" beginner method (I think you can call it that). I solve for cross on bottom which I can get in about 7-8 second, then I insert the corners one by one, then the corresponding edge, or I make an F2L pair when I can. I'm still learning F2L, so I guess this is a transition between CFOP and LBL (Keyhole maybe?) My last 20+ solves have been under 1 min 30, which i know isn't great, but it's a big difference in a little less than a month from 45 minutes solves (with the algorithm and steps in front of me).

The first cube I bought and learned to solve on was a Shengshou Wind in white. Last week, I received my QiYi Thunderclap and my times are now half of what they were with the Wind (yay). But just today, actually, one of the corners split so when I reassembled it, it doesn't align properly and the cube feels warped so I contacted the Cubicle in regards to that. Anyhow, this has been a long introduction and to summarize:

I'm 18. I've been cubing for around a month, my PR is 49 seconds with modified LBL method, and I hope to meet as many of you as I can and become good friends :D

Eldo bro!
I can see you did reaserch and you know what to do. Just a small tpi then. Try to be CN, it might be a little hard rn, but it is easier to start being CN, when you are slow. You won't regret being CN. CN stands for colour neutral and it is an ability to solve on every colour. :)

Welcome to the forums! :)

Have you tried other methods than CFOP? You may find them cooler/more to your taste. I would recommend checking out ZZ, roux, PCMS and maybe SSC off the top of my head (there are others that it wouldn't hurt to look at as well)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time on the forums! :)

Welcome! Wow! You improved quickly, atleast faster than me :p. Check out badmephisto's f2l video on youtube, it really helped me. And most importantly, keep practising.
I am also not that good but I'm improving quickly since I got a speedcube. My first one was a very stiff rubik's brand cube.
Anyway, Good luck.
