Wow I thought it would be much longer considering 15 moves only flip 2 wing edges.
Just take out the moves 3F and 3F', and you get get an algorithm that just affects the wings.

Is this really the position you were seeking? This literally took me 5 minutes. I guess since I spent hours on finding algs such as this one (which is difficult) for you, things technically average out.

In your own words, you made me press my poor brain so hard that I got a better algorithm than what "1,000 CPU cores with 64 TB of RAM over a period of roughly 2 weeks" could achieve! You're demanding! LOL. :).

But, you don't have to send me $100 for this. (I feel bad for getting paid so much for finding an alg for such a trivial position.)

Do this. Take your family out to eat at a nicer restaurant than what you planned to for your trip. All I request is that you think of me for a second before you begin eating! :)

Well I'm only running this on one core @ 2.8 GHz. I sold the supercomputer very recently and bought a nice custom conversion van that seats 10 and has a fold out bed with the push of a button. I'll be building an 8-core workstation when I get back from my trip.

Previous solutions were:
setup
3x3x3 flip 2 edges
undo setup

Edit: or maybe he did the inverse...
R2 U' [U R' F U' R, 2F' 4F' 3F] U R2
which is easier for me to understand

When I first saw this thread I had a feeling that cmowla would do very well. Posting a(n) (optimal?) solution within about an hour was incredible!

I didn't save my work, but this is along the lines of what I did:

[1] Flip UF tredge (while preserving all other pieces in all three layers in M--this includes centers on the supercube)
F U' R F' U

[2] Apply inner slice turns
2L 2R' 3R

[3] Undo flipping tredge moves
U' F R' U F'

[4] Undo inner slice turns
3R' 2R 2L'

To get the commutator:
F U' R F' U 2L 2R' 3R U' F R' U F' 3R' 2R 2L'

[5] Shift:
R' U F' 3R' 2R 2L'
F U' R F' U 2L 2R' 3R U' F

[6] Conjugate:
F'
R' U F' 3R' 2R 2L'
F U' R F' U 2L 2R' 3R U' F
F

[7] Simplify, and take the mirror and the inverse.

If you are interested to learn about how to make "piece-isolating" commutators like the one above and similar ones, I recommend watching this video by YouTube user Twisty Puzzling. (I sure wish that video would have been available when I was starting out, as I learned everything on my own knowing only the last two center Niklas commutator as a start.)
