A SPECIAL CHALLENGE

[Dene]

Ok guys, this is my challenge to you:

Step 1: Go through the forums, and find the most stupid post from this year. It can be any post from throughout the year.
Step 2: Put a link to the post.
Step 3: I will judge the winner.

Prize: winners status

[Mike Hughey]

Was this actually a "challenge" or were you just too lazy to find the most stupid post yourself?

Spoiler

The correct answer is "yes".

That's my vote. What did that guy think he was doing?

lol, I was going to do that

I sense that someone might link to one of my posts... in a thread that I will not speak of...

if I were being serious, though, here is the stupidest one I remember http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showpost.php?p=102916&postcount=1

Ellis, clearly you are not of the enlightened

If I have one red and one purple ball in a box, and I randomly draw one out, what is the probability that it is red? (1/2.)

What is the probability that it is red or purple? (1.)

Will the ball be red or purple? (Yes.)

[Dene]

blade: I was expecting that, lame

Mr. Hughey: I'm glad you got it perfectly: you made my day with your post

I'm actually surprised this thread hasn't been clsoed yet so I'm still hopeful that we might be able to go through with the competition, so, like, if anybody can think of stupid posts, then post them here!

This may not be the stupidest, but I think it's pretty stupid.

I just can't be bothered to spend more than a few seconds on something so stupid.

What about this, we challenge each other to post the stupidest post ever, instead of finding it?

[TMOY]

My own vote is:http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showpost.php?p=112087&postcount=10

That doesn't make any sense. His sentence and your explanation are to different things. In Mr. Hughey's sentence, it isn't clear which question he answered "Yes".

There was only one question, and he answered "yes" to it.

[nitrocan]

This was the question:
Was this actually a "challenge" or were you just too lazy to find the most stupid post yourself?

1st question: Was this actually a challenge?
2nd question: Were you just too lazy to find the most stupid post yourself?

While "yes" in answer to that question doesn't give you much information, in logic/computer programming, A OR B returns true if either A or B is true. Also, it was probably just a reference to this thread: http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7929
