What can I do with spare 3x3x3 pieces?

Hmmm.... Maybe you could just keep it in case you ever need extra torpedoes? Or keep it for any replacement parts.

you could buy a new piece and sell one of the cubes

or, since you seem opposed to that, you could use it as decoration. Hang it on the ceiling using the missing piece-hole for some kind of anchor. Use it as a paperweight. Stickerless cubes look pretty nice just sitting around.

Yes, you can buy an Aolong V1 core, and screw/spring set. It'll set you back a few bucks but it's probably worth.

Yeah you'd probably want to look in the modding thread/section for 3x3 puzzle mods. You could probably do something interesting with it, maybe a siamese cube or a non-cubical puzzle.
