I'm a little concerned about the timer starts and stops with the off hand. It seems like you could accidentally get a head start/quick finish, and some of these are quite close. What do other OHers think about that? I know it's not official, so it doesn't really matter, but UWRs still hold some prestige in our community.

Yep I'm aware of this - the reason I do it is because I don't want to slam my cube down onto my computer whilst I finish the solve. Stackmat is ideal, but I don't use it that often.
