Hi everyone I'm Vulnus, and I'm from Australia :)
I'm really new to cubing let alone speedcubing, but so far I'm really enjoying it. I have a really stiff rubiks brand cube that I have been solving non-stop for about a week now using the beginners LBL method that is on the rubik's site, but I want to take it to the next level. Speedcubing seems like a lot of fun but at the moment my cube is really holding me back. The Roux method seems like the perfect fit for me when I start speedcubing but I wont be able to start on it until my new cube arrives in a few weeks because my current cube is so stiff I struggle to M slice... For now I will just keep reading all of the awesome information on these forums.

Welcome!!!

There's lots of great Roux resources here. It looks like you've already gone over the pros and cons, but if you have any more questions about which method to use, I can give you as unbiased opinion as I can.

Roux is going to be hard on a Rubik's Brand because it requires so many middle slice moves (M/M'/M2), so don't get frustrated about that. Once you have anything decent, Roux is a lot more fun.

Thanks for the welcome DeeDubb!

I actually started watching your Roux as a Beginner's Method this morning and I can't wait to get stuck into it.

Maybe once I get my new cube you could help me when I get stuck? (which I know I will hehe)

I ordered a Dayan Zhanchi, I know it's a really fast cube but I don't have the money to buy lots of new cubes as I improve...

Hi, welcome to the forums Vulnus.

When you get more into speedsolving, you should check out blindfolded cubing. It's a lot of fun and will improve your memory ^_^

Welcome to the forums!

I hope that your cube arrives speedily and have fun practising!

Happy cubing! -L

Sure :) I look forward to it. I'm really happy that my video series is helping people so much...

I want to give you a warning though. If you want to become fast, skip my corners video. It's intended just to teach people how to solve with minimum algorithms (only two).

It's terribly slow though. So if you are dedicating yourself to getting faster, find better 2 Look CMLL video (like Donovan's or Waffo's)

Blindfolded sounds crazy! Maybe one day I'll get there :P

Maybe I will learn the slow way and once my Zhanchi arrives I will learn the fast way :)
