How can i improve?

Hey guys, so i have been speed cubing(well trying) for about 3 months now and i can get an average around 53 sec. I have read and looked around at ways to get faster but all i can see is memorizing like 50 some algo's.. is there a step before this? My goal would be around 30 sec by 2009. heres a break down of my solves:

Cross: 7 sec
F2l: 22 sec
Last Layer: 23 sec

I Use intuitive f2l which is decent..and the dan brown way for the last layer. I am guessing the last layer is what is really killing me, but i don't know what do to instead although ive herd of some 2 look oll / pll which is apparently abit easier and reduces time. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

thats a little harsh...

you CAN make another thread in the future, just no generic questions like 'when should i learn the OLLs?' or 'what is petrus method?'.

theres another thread very similar to this that is active at the moment.
'how should i continue?' is also an active thread full of peoples tips for one guy who started learning a while ago. read through that.

Your F2L is pretty fast, so practice your LL more along with the whole solve.
You will soon see a very fast improvement.

2 look oll/pll is a must. That is the first thing you should learn.

1. Get your cross to below 5 seconds on average.
2. Just keep on practicing F2L, try to make sure that YOU NEVER STOP TURNING during F2L, even if you're looking for pieces.
3. For last layer you should learn 4 Look Last Layer (4LLL).
