I got this far...

L' D' R' F R' (2x2x2) - 1~5
U2 L U' F2 R U2 R' (2x2x3) - 6~12
...??

If anyone can help me going forward for a good F2L-1 or something, would appreciate...
I was trying NISS but got confused...

Just a note: if you're looking for help with FMC, the FMC thread is a much better place. There's more visibility as more FMCers visit that thread than this one.
Don't write out your solution only in "linear" form, because it's hard to see what you're trying to do with it. (But on that note, you managed to correctly write out your solution in linear form, so that's a good thing. This is something I see a lot of beginners struggle with.)

If you're building the orange-green-yellow block first (assuming you use WCA scramble orientation), F' D' F2 L F' L' is similar to your start, but one move shorter. There's another six-move solution for the block: D F L F2 D' F.

For the 223 block, I'd either do the green-red-yellow block or switch to inverse.

F' L D' F2 L F L' // 222 (7/7)
R' B2 U' R2 // 223 (4/11)

F' L D' F2 L F L' // 222 (7/7)
(R' B2 R2 B2 R B2) // 223 (6/13)

After your 223 block, you have 4 misoriented edges, located in a way that can be fixed in 3 extra moves. If you're familiar with Petrus-style F2L, this is a useful alternative to explore. But your EO+F2L-1 solution is pretty good anyway (not something I would have noticed!), so this isn't that important. Here's some ways you can finish off your solve.

(R2 B' R B2 U' B') // EO + F2L-1 (6/21)
(U' F' U2 F U2 F' U' F) // F2L (8/29)
// This leaves Z perm edges, which tend to be the worse ZBLL cases. You can do an optimal T perm (F2 D R2 D' F2 L2 D' B2 D L2) to leave three corners unsolved, and then finish with an insertion, but this is unlikely to be good.

(R2 B' R B2 U' B') // EO + F2L-1 (6/21)
(U' F' U F U F' U F) // build a square, insert an edge (8/29)
// insertions for the last four corners (around 10 to 16 moves depending on how many moves you cancel)

(R2 B' R B2 U' B') // EO + F2L-1 (6/21)
(U2 F' U' F U F' U' F) // F2L (8/29)
(B U B' U B U2 B' U) // OCLL (8/37)
// This leaves you with an A perm, which you can either do directly (9 moves, 46 moves total) or do as an insertion (~4 to 8 moves).

(R2 B' R B2 U' B') // EO + F2L-1 (6/21)
U F' U F U' F' U F // F2L (8/29)
(B U2 B2 U' B2 U' B2 U2 B) // OCLL (9-3/35)
(B' U2 B U2 B' R B U B' U' B' R' B2) // R perm (13-5/43)
// Loads of move cancellations here. R perms usually aren't that good, but this was pretty lucky.
