Does this method have a name already?

I do this block building f2l method sometimes. I was wondering if it is already named and/or used as I have never seen it described anywhere.

First I make a bar which is really just half of a cross. Always 3 moves or less.

Then, Petrus style, orient all remaining edges while holding the bar horizontally in the back. All same rules for spotting bad edges still apply except top and bottom colors are essentially indistinguishable. Fix edges 2 at a time and try to chain multiple bad-edge-flips together to save moves. this step probably averages 5-10 moves with some smart moves.

Then build a 1x2x3 while preserving orientation. Be sure to make use of the free layer when it can save moves. This step can usually be done in less than 10 moves with nothing fancy.

Then build the other 1x2x3 while preserving orientation(just like step 4 of Petrus).

After that you can do whatever you want...easy oll + pll, COLL, ZB...

It is easy to inspect for the bar and for what will be your U/D and F layers (important for quickly spotting bad edges) once the bar is solved and placed horizontally in the back, in the 15 seconds inspection time. I also think all the moves would be easy for OH but I don't know too much about that unfortunately.

So if this does have a name just let me know...If it doesn't maybe I will claim it.

Pre-orient is better. It does what you do, just more efficiently, like 4-at-a-time EO with 1 move, and 2-together in 1 (your move estimates also seem a bit much off some places).
(It does EO first, then stays in LUR for F2L after placing DF&DB/cross.)
ZZ places DF and DB, too.

Really, this is best with ZBLL or MGLS. :p

Do try this and pre-orient, though! It's worth investigating. I've done 16.00 average with pre-orient...
